Holidays in Slovakia

From 22.6. till 26.6. enjoyed short hiking holidays at Štrbské pleso - Vysoké Tatry, Slovakia with my family.

Weather changable sometimes strong rain, fog and sometimes partly sunny however I can recomend to stay there for holiday.

Replacement for damaged A99 is installed.
I found in the shelter my just 20 years old 5/8 Sirio 2012. After some cleaning of rust and spider nets antenna putted on stand.
SWR is worse than in ancient times but somehow working.

QRH nr.2

Because of insufficient free time and local condition I started use my SWL station for making QSO as well.

using only 1/2 wire antenna.

It works ! Made more than 40 QSOs already.

A99 down !

Solarcon A-99 down!

Phone call from neighbour about very near lighting hit in our garden brinks me bad news....
A99 is dead after four month usage during first local sudden strom of this year.
